E-mail Communication
E-mail Communication06 March 2019 Written by James & George Collie

emailLegal Firms in general have a reputation for living in the dark ages – certainly in some cases we still require to deal with Title Deeds which are hundreds of years old.  At James and George Collie we do, however, try to look to the future.  A Firm of our size generates huge amounts of both legal documents and correspondence.  This poses large problems relating to filing and storage – let alone the destruction of many forests!  At James and George Collie we are looking to embrace modern technology and to aim as far as possible for a paperless file.  Unless strictly required we are looking to store all outgoing correspondence electronically – and would aim at some point to do likewise with incoming correspondence.

We are looking to correspond as much as possible with both fellow legal firms and clients by e-mail. In this regard we would appreciate it if you could, if we do not already have it, let us have a note of your e-mail address and keep us informed if there is any update to it. There are some cases where documents still require to be printed as a legal requirement but as far as possible we would look to the future. We do, however, appreciate that many of our clients would still wish to communicate by means of traditional correspondence. We certainly have no objection to that – just let us know.  For further information contact us on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
