The Firm’s Team experienced a successful end to the Aberdeen Finance League in Curling – “the Roaring Game”.

For a number of years the Firm has participated in the Aberdeen Curling Finance League which runs from September through to April.  In addition to the League there is a Knock Out Cup which this year was won by the Firm.   The squad, skipped by Partnership Accountant Stuart McKay, features Gregor Sim, Innes Miller, Leanne Gibb, Joy Dunbar, Hayley Mitchell and Eleanor Smith. 

Skip Stuart McKay commented that due to the non availability of experienced players, requiring novices to play, our performances were generally poor in the league matches up to the end of December. Our lowly league position at the turn of the year meant that we received a beneficial handicap which assisted when it came to meeting the league champions, First Oil, in the final. Despite playing with two first season curlers most ends were closely contested with Collies eventually triumphing by 4 shots. We are now looking forward to next season, attempting to retain our trophy, and improve our league position.
